My transformation

I have been sexually abused as a child, I have had physically and emotionally abusive relationships, I have had drug abuse in my family, I have experienced heartbreak and loss, I have been deeply wounded, just like most of us on this Earth. 

I share this with the intention to let you know -  you are not alone in your suffering. 

Although I have been deeply wounded, I do not identify anymore as a victim and I refuse to be defined by these stories.

All of these hardships have only been an invitation or an initiation as I would like to call it -  to sit with my pain, inviting me to go deeper into my heart and to alchemize all of this energy into love and compassion. 

Transformation and change are big themes in my life that have shown up again and again. For those of you who have known me for a while, know that at my current age of 35, I have already lived a thousand lives. 

For those of you who are meeting me now: I have drastically changed careers, been in abusive relationships and gotten out,I have loved many times, I have lived in different countries and cultures.This process of change is part of the natural cycle of life, and it involves death, rebirth and growth. 

When I first would meet these transformations for big changes, it would overwhelm me, but now I have come to accept these cycles as gifts. The death of something makes way for something new to grow, and by staying in my heart, the new that grows is always an evolution of me, an upgraded, more fully alive, stronger and whole version of Leah. A Leah who is more connected to her soul, her purpose and her spirit. 

Today I am in a place of wholeness that I have never experienced previously. Of course, I still have ‘bad days’, I have days where I feel hurt, days where I feel sensitive… but I know now how to hold myself there. I know that these ‘low’ times are actually gifts, and moments to sit with something that needs to be brought to light, to be seen… an edge or wound that needs love - that needs to be alchemized. 

Through my work with crystals, sound, voice work, meditation and deep self exploration, I have built a foundation of practices that support healing, growth and transformation.
